The Central Coast Long-term Environmental Assessment Network (CCLEAN)
Monitoring and Protecting the Waters
of California’s Central Coast

OUR COMMITMENT
The Central Coast Long-term Environmental Assessment Network (CCLEAN) is a collaborative monitoring program designed to help fulfill regulatory responsibilities for municipal and industrial dischargers along the Central Coast. Our mission is to monitor, manage, and report on the sources, amounts, and effects of contaminants reaching ocean waters in the Monterey Bay area.
HOW WE HELP
Monitoring
CCLEAN diligently monitors the sources, amounts, and effects of contaminants that enter the ocean waters along the Central Coast. By gathering accurate data, we provide a clear understanding of how industrial and municipal discharges affect our marine environment.
Reporting
Our findings equip resource managers with the information they need to implement corrective actions. By offering detailed reports on environmental conditions, CCLEAN ensures that actions taken are both effective and timely, helping to protect the delicate marine ecosystems.
Compliance
CCLEAN helps municipal and industrial dischargers meet their regulatory responsibilities. By providing comprehensive monitoring data, we support these entities in fulfilling the requirements set forth by environmental regulations, ensuring cleaner and safer ocean waters.
